|Description||mTOR activator with an inhibitory effect on autophagy. MHY1485 markedly increased the LC3II/LC3I ratio dose-dependently and time-dependently by inhibition of the fusion between autophagosomes and lysosomes, and without increasing the autophagic flux. At 2 µM, MHY1485 did not show any cell death during longer treatment, supporting that MHY1485 had less toxicity than other well-known inhibitors of autophagy. MHY1485 was also tested and found moderately active as antimalarial agent (MIC value of ca. 26 µM against P. Falciparum).|
