Meleagrin is a bio-active benzylisoquinoline alkaloids made by deep ocean Penicillium. It is a bacterial enoyl-acyl carrier protein reductase (Fabl) inhibitor with IC50 values of 40.1µM for S. aureus and 33.2 µM for E. coli FabI.
