1.Single and repeated dose pharmacokinetics of ceftaroline in plasma and soft tissues of healthy volunteers for two different dosing regimens of ceftaroline fosamil.
Matzneller P1, Lackner E1, Lagler H2, Wulkersdorfer B1, Österreicher Z1, Zeitlinger M3. Antimicrob Agents Chemother. 2016 Apr 4. pii: AAC.00097-16. [Epub ahead of print]
OBJECTIVES: Ceftaroline fosamil (CPT-F) is currently approved for treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections and community-acquired pneumonia at 600 mg twice daily (q12h), but other dosing regimens are under evaluation. To date, very limited data on soft tissue pharmacokinetics (PK) of the active compound ceftaroline (CPT) are available.
2.Ceftaroline fosamil treatment outcomes compared with standard of care among hospitalized patients with complicated skin and soft tissue infections.
Karve S1, Hackett J1, Levinson J1, Gibson E2, Battersby A2. J Comp Eff Res. 2016 Mar 1. [Epub ahead of print]
AIM: Compare clinical and cost outcomes associated with ceftaroline fosamil with other commonly used antibiotics in complicated skin and soft tissue infections.
