Description:
Caffeine is extracted from the seeds of Theobroma cacao L. It can have both positive and negative effects on anxiety disorders. It inhibits glucose transport by binding at the GLUT1 nucleotide-binding site. It is an adenosine receptor antagonist and adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) phosphodiesterase inhibitor.
