Description:
This bio-active molecular is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that has potent Gram positive activity and Gram negative coverage. Brilacidin is highly effective in treating the MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). Brilacidin has low cytotoxicity against mammalian cells and can selectively target bacteria to disrupt their membranes directly and rapidly. In Jun 2016, Phase-II clinical trials in Ulcerative colitis in USA (Rectal) was on-going. In 10 Oct 2016, Interim pharmacokinetics and efficacy data from a phase II trial in Ulcerative colitis was released by Cellceutix. In 26 Oct 2016, Cellceutix planed clinical trials for Acne.
