It\u00a0belongs to\u00a0the autoimmune inflammatory disease category, featuring in chronic,\u00a0symmetric,\u00a0polysynovial arthritis and the external lesion of the joint\u00a0as its major clinical symptoms. RA, caused by the false attack of body\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bocsci.com\/immune-system-rlist-1327.html\">immune system<\/a> towards the joints, brings about pain and swelling to the joints, and may eventually make the body fall victim to cardiovascular\u00a0and\u00a0respiratory diseases. According to statistics\u00a0from Arthritis Foundation, there are nearly 1.5 million Americans suffering from this\u00a0disease and more victims are women in contrast.<\/p>\n<p>The fatty acid-Omega-3 can influence cytomembrane, which makes it possible to prevent and treat diseases caused by inflammatory cells\u00a0like lupus, RA and\u00a0asthma. Nearly 20% eat fish only once or none per month while 18% eat fish twice a week. The fish mentioned above refers to fish either\u00a0cooked or steamed, either grilled or fresh\u00a0eaten like\u00a0sashimi\u00a0and\u00a0sushi, with shellfish and fish mixed with other vegetables excluded.<\/p>\n<p>As predicted by researchers, the intake of fatty acid omega-3 is a key factor. If women keep a\u00a00.21 gram daily\u00a0intake of omega-3\u00a0for a long time, risk of RA can be reduced by 52%. A\u00a00.21 gram daily\u00a0intake equals to one intake of\u00a0oil-rich fish or four intakes of lean fish like cod.<\/p>\n<p>It is suggested by researchers to choose fish dishes instead of fish oil only, because\u00a0the former contains other nutrients which are beneficial to the overall heath. \u00a0Therefore, fish are recommended as substitute\u00a0for red meat if better heath condition is to be achieved. However, it would be better\u00a0to choose freshwater fish instead of sea fish as uric acid\u00a0in sea fish, once absorbed into the body, can form <a href=\"#keyfrom=E2Ctranslation\">urate crystal<\/a>\u00a0in joints, which will further worsen the RA condition, making it even harder to get cured.
