Description | AZD 5582 dihydrochloride is the dihydrochloride salt of AZD 5582, which is a potent inhibitor of cellular (cIAP) inhibitor of apoptosis protein and X-linked (XIAP). Its IC50 values are 15, 21 and 15 nM for cIAP1, cIAP2 and XIAP respectively. It binds to the BIR3 domain of XIAP to prevent interaction with caspase-9. It causes degradation of cIAP1 and cIAP2 and tumor regression, thus induces apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. |
