|Description||This active molecular is a potent BACE1 inhibitor that is a potential target for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. AMG-8718 produced significantly reductions of CSF and brain Aβ levels in animal models. It also exhibited reduced potential for QTc elongation in a cardiovascular safety model. BACE1 inhibition has direct efficacy in the Alzheimer's disease pathology but it does not affect viability largely.|
