Bioconjugation is the process of joining of biomolecules to other biomolecules, small molecules, and polymers by chemical or biological means to form a novel complex consisting of both molecules linked together. When forming such bioconjugates, the process can yield a composite having approximately equal proportions of each component or create a conjugate purposely designed to have more molecules of one component than the other. Compounds, natural or synthetic, with their individual activities, can be chemically combined together to create unique characteristics. Modified biomolecules may have diverse utilizations, for example, cellular tracking, enzyme revealing, protein distributions determining, biomarkers imaging, and drugs delivering. The formation of a useful bioconjugate begins by envisioning the features that are desired in the final complex and then choosing the components necessary to create it.

Bioconjugation services we can do:

1. Fluorescent labeling

Fluorescence is useful in cell imaging, target molecule tracking and quantitative analysis. We can do the fluorescent labeling on the antibody, nanoparticles, microparticles, peptide, oligonucleotide and other biomolecules. The fluorescent dye we provide can be fluorescein derivatives, rhodamine derivatives, cyanine dye derivatives, quantum dots, and other fluorescent dyes which emission wavelengths are between 440 and 770 nm. We can also make the FRET and Fluorescence-Quenching system. The donor and acceptor which consist the FRET system, or the fluorophore and quencher can be conjugated on one or two biomolecules to do the subsequent dection.

2. Biotinylation and conjugation of streptavidin/avidin

The binding of biotin and avidin is so strong that it becomes the most popular methods of non-covalent conjugation. The strength of the avidin-biotin interaction has made it a useful tool in specific targeting applications and assay design. Since each avidin molecule contains a maximum of four biotin-binding sites, the interaction can be used to enhance the signal strength in immunoassay systems. We can provide services of biotinylation on different biomolecules, such as antibody, peptide, nanoparticles, microparticles, oligonucleotide, enzyme and other biomolecules. We can also do the conjugation between avidin and the signal representation groups (such as fluorophore, enzyme), the recognition groups (such as antibody, oligonucleotide, peptide), the nanoparticles, and some other functional molecules.

3. Modification of nanoparticles and column packing materials

Assays and detection systems made by coupling affinity ligands to particles of nanometer or micrometer diameter have been used in diagnostic tests and numerous other research procedures, such as magnetic separation, ELISA test and drug delivery. We can make the conjugation of biomolecules, such as small molecules, antibody, enzyme and fluorophore to those nanoparticles including magnetic nanoparticles, gold nanoparticles, silicon nanoparticles and quantum dots.

Affinity chromatography is a useful method for separation, purification or extraction of the target protein. We can modify the antibody, aptamer or antigen on the column packing materials such as agarose, cellulose, polyacrylamide, sephacryl, monolithic or other matericals.

4 Hapten-BSA conjugation

Since the small molecules can not causing an immune reaction in vivo, they must be conjugated on BSA or some other biomolecules to have the immunogenicity. So we can provide the services that conjugating target molecules on BSA for subsequent immune reactions.

5. Bioconjugation of antibody

Antibody-antigen reaction is widely used in detection of target, bioseperation, ELISA and many other assays. As mentioned above, we can do the labeling of antibody, including fluorescence labeling, enzyme labeling, biotinylation and other small molecules conjugation. We can also provide the services including the conjugation of peptide, drug, protein, nanoparticles and some other biomolecules to the antibody. We can also do the bifunctional conjugation.
